2. Math series information
Harcourt was chosen to be our new math series
Manipulatives, big books, whiteboards will stay as we currently have (we are not getting new ones). We will receive new TEs and student editions. Other resources will be available online
3. Reading - Common Core Training
Make sure that TDAs are turned in to Joyce by Dec 13 - we have to turn these in to the district
Will create agenda as date gets closer to meet your team's needs with the implementation of common core
4. January 3rd
Possibly math focused in the morning - with an optional make and take in the afternoon
Will swap out a half day PD for half day on March 7th for our retreat
Jan 4 - Barrie will be here to do an intro mimio training (9:00ish) and an advanced mimio training (10:00ish)
5. Child Abuse powerpoint
1 hour powerpoint, turn certificate in to Joyce when you complete it - this is required for all teachers (not required for support at this point.)
6. December 20th - Christmas luncheon
Food has been ordered
Special areas is providing desserts, a small cake will be provided for Charlotte's retirement
7. FCAT Explorer (3rd-5th grades)
Please share passwords with students - they can access from home, this cannot be done during lab time - that needs to continue to be SuccessMaker only
FCAT Explorer is not updated with the new FCAT 2.0
8. Chaperone forms
Needs to be taken care of 3 weeks in advance, parents are wanting to change chaperones at the last minute and it is causing problems
9. Lynne would like to meet with each grade level to discuss where everyone is with the lesson plans
10. Support staff - please sign up on a calendar to meet with either Lynne or Rob
11. Handwashing
Renee will come in and do a quick lesson with your class if you want
Reminders
Students should not be bringing money to the office area. Teachers are responsible for turning in any money collected on a daily basis to Libby.
Please only send attendance, medical notes and bus notes up in the attendance folder.
Science money ($15 per K-5 homeroom) needs to be spent by Dec. 20.
Adopt-a-class money should be spent by the end of January.
